SUMMARY:Funk Fest
DESCRIPTION:Join us this year as we celebrate Funk Fest\, part of the Amplified Series sponsored by the City of Dayton. \nFunk Amplified Lineup: \n\n5:45 p.m. Freakquency\n6:45 p.m. Plazmatic\n8 p.m. The Bar-Kays\n\nThe Bar-Kays – Despite unimaginable obstacles\, the Bar-Kays have endured as one of the longest-running funk and soul groups of all time. They began in Memphis\, Tennessee\, as a studio session group\, backing major artists at Stax Records like Otis Redding and Isaac Hayes. \nThe bands would go on to have dozens of charting singles from the 1960s to the 19080s\, including “Soul Finger: (US Billboard Hot 100 number 17\, R&B number 3) in 1967\, “Son of Shaft” (R&B number 10) in 1972\, and “Boogie Body Land” (R&B number 7) in 1980.) \nThe Bar-Kays were inducted into the Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame in 2015; and have endured as one of the longest-running funk and soul groups ever. \n  \nPlazmatic – Plazmatic is a Cincinnati-based band specializing in captivating live performances with high production value. The band is currently booking regional festivals\, shows\, and private events while establishing themselves as a first-call group in the regional jam scene. \nThe group has performed at some of Cincinnati’s premier venues including Madison Live\, Radio Artifact\, and the Woodward Theater\, while also performing in the broader region. The group has also been called on for major regional events (Oktoberfest Zinzinnati\, FC Cincinnati games) and music festivals (Kinda Spoopy\, Rislofest). \nThe band\, whose style draws heavily from golden-era funk\, the modern jam scene\, as well as rock and jazz\, released their EP “Midnight Somewhere” in May 2025. The group’s sound is defined by thick grooves and improvisation over non-traditional song structures. The band’s unforgettable live shows blend original compositions\, funky covers\, improvisational jams\, and a knack for getting audiences to dance. \n \nFreakquency – Freakquency is a “Funk Fusion” band from Dayton\, Ohio that started in 2015. It has existed in various iterations since then\, but the finalized quartet of musicians was set in 2022. Freakquency’s music is as varied as the backgrounds of its musicians; from hip hop and R&B\, to jazz and blues\, to metal and hardcore\, and of course Dayton funk\, all blended to make killer music! Freakquency shows could charitably be described as a “rollercoaster”\, going from smooth\, to heavy\, to dance\, but ALWAYS funky. This combination led Freakquency to win the Dayton Battle Of The Bands in 2024! Call the music whatever you like\, but it is undeniably and always Freakquency.

SUMMARY:The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band
DESCRIPTION:The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band has performed in 38 countries and 48 states. They have been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine\, Living Blues\, Elmore\, donned the cover of Vintage Guitar Magazine\, have been #1 on the Billboard\, iTunes and Sirius XM Blues Charts and have been nominated for three Blues Music Awards by the Blues Foundation in Memphis. The Indianapolis Star listed Reverend Peyton as one of the top 25 Hoosier musicians of all time. \nMaybe you found the band because of virtuosic guitar playing? Maybe you came for the tent revival style live show? The reasons that brought you here could be extensive\, but the reasons that keep bringing people back are HEART. Real\, from the heart\, music made by people who love music. The Sacramento Bee said\, “It’s a group with boundless stockpiles of heart to spare — it cascades throughout every slip-n-slide vintage blues/soul ditty they tear through and croon in every show they play\, and they always leave a little behind. The front porch is the church\, the church is the dance hall and the dance hall is the river bank — your knees will fail you by the time you figure it all out.” \nOften called\, “the greatest front-porch blues band in the world” the Big Damn Band is led by Reverend Peyton\, who is considered to be the premier finger picker playing today. Rev has earned a reputation as both a singularly compelling performer and a persuasive evangelist for the rootsy\, country blues styles that captured his imagination early in life and inspired him and his band to make pilgrimages to Clarksdale\, Mississippi to study under such blues masters as T-Model Ford\, Robert Belfour and David “Honeyboy” Edwards. Accompanied by Rev’s wife\, the washboard virtuoso\, Washboard Breezy Peyton\, and kept on time by the deep rhythms of Jacob “The Snakob” Powell\, Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band will leave you clapping\, stomping\, and singing along every handmade show across the world. \nTheir new record “Honeysuckle” was produced and recorded by Reverend Peyton and mixed by six time Grammy winner Vance Powell (Chris Stapleton\, Jack White). The record features many special guests including gospel music group The McCrary Sisters on the song “Manger”\, Blues Music Hall of Famer and Grammy nominated harmonica player Billy Branch who plays on the Blind Lemon Jefferson song “Nell (Prison Cell Blues)”\, Grammy award winning and IBMA’s 10-time Fiddle Player of the Year Michael Cleveland plays on “Freeborn Man” and Colton Crawford from The Dead South plays banjo on “The Good Die Young” \n“This record is a bit of a return to my roots\, a very personal mix of old and new songs that shaped me or that I’m currently shaping. It’s the most acoustic record we’ve made in years\, vintage microphones\, vintage guitars\, vintage recording gear\, and alot of me and my national guitar. There is a smattering of Big Damn Band thrown into the mix to spice things up\, and a short list of legends that I’ve always dreamed of collaborating with”\, said Reverend Peyton. \nProjects Unlimited Gem Series Opener: PAID LEAVE

SUMMARY:Honoring our Veterans ft. Eric Jerardi Band
DESCRIPTION:Join us this July 3rd for a special concert event honoring our veterans. This celebration will pay tribute to the brave people who have served our country. Montgomery County Veterans Services will be present\, offering information about their services. Enjoy an evening of live music\, community spirit\, and heartfelt gratitude as we come together to recognize their sacrifices and dedication. This concert is the perfect way to start your Independence Day celebrations! Don’t miss this opportunity to show your support and appreciation for our veterans on Independence Day. \nEric Jerardi has built his life at the crossroads of soul and storytelling. A Dayton\, Ohio native\, his music blends weathered truth and raw finesse—equal parts grit\, groove\, and grace. Since 1997\, he has released ten nationally distributed recordings\, each one a milestone in his evolution as a soul‑soaked blues‑rock artist. \nHis 2019 album Occupied—produced by the legendary David Z (Prince\, Etta James\, Jonny Lang) and recorded with the famed Muscle Shoals rhythm section—was hailed for its depth\, groove\, and emotional resonance. Critics called it a “low-key\, deeply felt masterpiece\,” and audiences across the country echoed that sentiment with standing ovations and lasting loyalty. Yet Eric’s art has never been about virtuosity—it’s about connection. The subtle inflection of a vocal line. The space between notes that speaks louder than any solo. He plays not to impress\, but to connect—and people feel it. \nAnd now\, with his upcoming album The Game\, Jerardi returns with something even more personal. It started with a nudge—or rather\, an ambush. \nA close musical friend\, refused to leave him alone. Relentless texts. Daily reminders. No escape. The challenge was deceptively simple: write 12 songs in 12 weeks. Every Wednesday morning\, a text arrived with a phrase that had to be used verbatim in that week’s song—phrases Eric would never have chosen on his own. Miss the deadline\, and you paid a fine. Miss too many\, and you were out. No polish required. Just honesty and accountability. \nWhat began as a game became a mirror. \nProduced by Michael James (Robben Ford\, Edwin McCain\, New Radicals) and featuring the iconic Muscle Shoals backing vocals of Cindy and Marie\, The Game is raw\, lean\, and unfiltered. It cost Eric twenty dollars\, a little sleep\, and a whole lot of truth. Worth every penny. \nBeyond the music\, Jerardi’s world continues to expand. At Jerardi’s Little Store in Dayton\, fans travel from across the country—and around the world—to meet him\, collect signed merch\, and have Eric personally select wines from his curated collection. That same spirit lives on in his YouTube series Backroom Blues & Bottles\, where stripped-down performances filmed in the store’s back room blend his two passions: music and wine. \nThrough it all\, Eric Jerardi remains guided by the same principle that’s shaped his entire career—connection. Whether through a lyric written under pressure\, a note held just long enough\, or a bottle poured across the counter\, he’s inviting people into something real. \nThe Game may have started as a dare. But Eric Jerardi played it exactly the way he always has—honestly\, fearlessly\, and all in.

SUMMARY:Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears
DESCRIPTION:When Covid sidelined his touring this past year\, Black Joe Lewis started laying concrete to help support his baby mama and his kid. When Joe and his band\, the Honeybears\, popped onto the national stage over a decade ago\, many critics embraced him but still\, there were some that maintained that they hadn’t paid their dues. Joe’s still here. Still going. Still cashing checks and snapping necks. The dues of hard work; the delirious heights of the industry as well as the disappointments and low hanging fruit. Through this all\, Joe’s only honed his mastery over gut bucket blues guitar and his true voice. It’s a vital and distinctly American voice that never anticipated the attention he wound up receiving\, never went looking for it either. It just started happening. The garage\, the blues\, the propulsive and synergistic live performances that inhabit the spaces of James Brown\, Lightnin’ Hopkins\, and the MC5…those things happened naturally from the very beginning and could only be accurately communicated in the live experience\, not a press release or a slick brand campaign. Sharon Jones\, Charles Bradley\, Cedric Burnside and Lightnin Malcolm\, The Dirtbombs\, Detroit Cobras\, the Strange Boys; these are some of the artists that Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears shared countless bills with; almost a roll call of the most influential soul and garage bands of the last twenty five years. Has the soul blues garage explosion from that era been commodified or worked into the overall template of pop rock? Sure. But the ground floor was a vital space for people that like guitars and grease and at this point Black Joe Lewis is one of the last standing that was there. Last of a dying breed. Or maybe a missing link. Does this make him a throwback? A throwback to a throwback? It’d be tempting and easy for Joe to go along with that but nah\, we don’t think so. We know that Joe Lewis is genuinely doing his thing and that he’d do it regardless of what’s coming down the pipe. A stone cold original and a veteran at that. If you like whistling in your music and some floppy hat\, quaky kneed dudes cloyingly singing at you\, then you might not “get it” but whatever…there are enough intrepid\, degenerate weirdos that do. Those are the folks Joe cares about. Not the glad handing set. Not the fair-weather friend set getting down with the flavor of the month. Like the title of his last album says\, “the difference between me and you” is Joe defining for himself that there’s the belabored wannabes and then there’s dudes that actually “HAVE the blues”…whatever the hell THAT is! Joe’s concrete pouring boss is gonna miss him. \nProjects Unlimited Gem Series Opener: KHRYS BLANK – \nWith a voice that blends raw soul and radiant energy\, Khrys Blank is a singer\, songwriter\, and multi-instrumentalist who’s sound blends the grit of blues\, the groove of funk\, and the edge of rock and R&B. Her music carries stories of depth and authenticity\, drawing listeners into a magnetic energy that’s impossible to ignore. All backed by a band of seasoned players who each bring their own authentic flavor and personal history to the music. \nAt the heart of it all is a deep love for rhythm—every beat\, every note\, and every moment creating a lasting experience.

SUMMARY:Steep Canyon Rangers
DESCRIPTION:Steep Canyon Rangers arrive at a moment of renewal and reaffirmation with Next Act\, their 15th studio album set to be released May 22\, 2026. The record represents a conscious tightening of focus: a return to the bluegrass foundations that first bound the band together\, approached with the confidence and emotional range earned through years of collective evolution. It is an affirmation that bluegrass still contains endless expressive possibility. Next Act finds the Rangers sounding deeply at home in their own musical language\, drawing strength from tradition while continuing to write new chapters within it. \nFormed in North Carolina and shaped equally by the Appalachian Mountains and the Piedmont\, Steep Canyon Rangers have long occupied a singular space in American roots music. From their earliest recordings\, the band demonstrated an unusual ability to honor traditional bluegrass forms while allowing contemporary songwriting\, literary influence\, and regional storytelling to seep naturally into the music. Over time\, this balance earned them both bluegrass credibility and broader Americana acclaim\, culminating in a Best Bluegrass Album GRAMMY Award for 2013’s Nobody Knows You\, additional nominations for Rare Bird Alert (2012) and North Carolina Songbook (2020)\, and an induction into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame. \nIn recent years\, as their audience expanded and their songwriting reach grew wider\, the Rangers began to feel a pull back toward the elemental forces that shaped them: acoustic instruments speaking clearly\, songs built for ensemble interplay\, and stories grounded in lived experience and regional memory. Next Act emerges from that impulse. \nSteep Canyon Rangers is made up of Graham Sharp on banjo and vocals\, Mike Guggino on mandolin/mandola and vocals\, Aaron Burdett on guitar and vocals\, Nicky Sanders on fiddle and vocals\, Mike Ashworth on drums\, dobro\, percussion and vocals\, and Barrett Smith on bass\, guitar\, and vocals. \nProjects Unlimited Gem Series Opener: THE SHADY PINE

SUMMARY:Larry McCray
DESCRIPTION:Larry McCray is a powerhouse bluesman with a soul-soaked voice\, blistering guitar chops\, and a story embodying the spirit of his music. With his new album Heartbreak City (out June 13 on Journeyman Records)\, McCray turns the page on a new chapter—raw\, joyful\, and deeply personal. Produced by blues-rock champions and Grammy Nominated duo Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith\, Heartbreak City finds the legendary singer and guitarist firing on all cylinders\, reconnecting with his roots while stepping boldly forward. \nFrom the first notes of the title track\, McCray reminds listeners why he’s long been hailed as one of the most expressive blues artists of his generation. Heartbreak City showcases Larry’s gritty vocals and searing guitar work\, evoking the decades he spent grinding it out in clubs\, pouring heartache and redemption into every solo. Elsewhere\, standout single “Bye Bye Blues” draws on McCray’s teenage years in Michigan\, when soul music still ruled the airwaves. Co-written with longtime collaborator Charlie Walmsley\, it nods to giants like Johnnie Taylor and Bobby Bland while delivering a sound all his own—grooving\, head-nodding\, and utterly timeless. “Bright Side\,” another standout\, was originally written for Bobby Bland and unearthed by Josh Smith\, who knew Larry was the one to bring it to life. With call-and-response choruses and sly humor\, the track leans into McCray’s knack for pairing deep emotion with irresistible swagger. \nThe album’s ten original tracks span from soul-infused ballads to roadhouse burners\, bolstered by a dream team of collaborators including Bonamassa\, Smith\, Kirk Fletcher\, Reese Wynans\, and a full horn section. McCray’s longtime partner Peggy Smith co-wrote several tracks\, adding emotional depth and lyrical resonance. Together\, they bring a lived-in perspective to songs like “Everything Falls On Me” and “Stop Your Crying”—testaments to weathering storms and emerging with strength. \nThe release follows 2022’s Blues Without You\, which marked McCray’s long-awaited return after a seven-year hiatus. The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Blues chart and was named the #1 Blues Album of 2022 by Blues Rock Review\, solidifying his status as a torchbearer of modern blues. In 2024\, McCray was inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame\, a testament to his deep roots in the state and his enduring impact on American music. Now\, Heartbreak City builds on that momentum. It’s a record that reflects Larry McCray at his most self-assured—grounded in tradition\, but more fearless than ever. \nBorn in 1960 in Smackover\, Arkansas\, McCray grew up steeped in gospel\, soul\, and the electric blues of the three Kings—B.B.\, Albert\, and Freddie. He moved to Saginaw\, Michigan at 12\, where he honed his guitar style by blending classic blues with the psychedelic edge of Hendrix and the southern fire of the Allman Brothers. After years of gigging while working a factory job\, he was signed in the late ’80s as the first artist on Virgin Records’ blues imprint Point Blank. His debut Ambition (1990) was followed by acclaimed albums like Delta Hurricane\, Meet Me at the Lake\, and Born to Play the Blues\, solidifying his role in defining modern blues-rock through the ’90s and early 2000s. \nOver the years\, McCray has played alongside a who’s who of music legends—B.B. King\, Buddy Guy\, Albert King\, the Allman Brothers\, Joe Walsh\, Jonny Lang\, Levon Helm\, and of course\, Joe Bonamassa. He was named Orville H. Gibson Male Blues Guitarist of the Year in 2000 and won the Top Guitarist prize in the International Blues Matters writer’s poll in 2014. \nBut accolades aside\, it’s the soul in McCray’s music that keeps fans coming back. “I feel totally reborn\,” he says. “This new album lets me show the full scope of what I do—it’s blues\, it’s soul\, it’s real stories. This is who I am.”

This is the “high lonesome sound” of\nAmerican roots music at its finest. \nJohn Jorgenson is a co-founder (with Herb Pedersen and Chris Hillman) of the formative country rock group Desert Rose Band. In 1990\, Jorgenson founded the Hellecasters and toured with Sir Elton John’s band for six years\, before later reuniting with John as lead guitarist for many European dates of the record-breaking Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour. Jorgenson portrayed Django Reinhardt in the Hollywood feature film Head in the Clouds. In 2008\, Jorgenson won a GRAMMY® Award for Best Country Instrumental with Brad Paisley and was nominated for Best Bluegrass Album with Earl Scruggs. \nGRAMMY® Award Nominee Herb Pedersen is a former member of the Desert Rose Band\, legendary bluegrass band The Dillards and bluegrass super-group Old and In the Way\, among others. Equally adept on guitar\, mandolin\, banjo and cajun accordion\, Sauber has played with Doc Watson\, Richard Greene\, Peter Rowan\, Tim O’Brien\, John Fogerty\, Laurie Lewis\, and John Reischman\, among others. Sauber played on the 2016 GRAMMY®-nominated album The Hazel and Alice Sessions by Laurie Lewis and appeared in the film A Mighty Wind with Christopher Guest. \nGRAMMY® Award-winning bassist and producer Mark Fain has recorded and performed with Bruce Hornsby\, Dolly Parton\, Loretta Lynn\, Tom Petty\, John Oates\, Alan Jackson\, Ry Cooder\, John Fogerty\, Chris Hillman\, Dwight Yoakam\, Alison Krauss\, Travis Tritt\, Joan Osborne\, The Chicks\, Martina McBride\, Rosanne Cash\, Jack Black\, and Cody Johnson. SUMMARY:SCYTHIAN
DESCRIPTION:Named after Ukrainian nomads\, Scythian (sith-ee-yin) plays roots music from Celtic\, Eastern European and Appalachian traditions with thunderous energy\, technical prowess\, and storytelling songwriting\, beckoning crowds into a barn-dance\, rock concert experience. Nashville’s Music City Roots says Scythian is ‘what happens when rock star charisma meets Celtic dervish fiddling’\, and the Washington Post claims “Scythian’s enthusiasm is contagious\, and shows seem to end with everyone dancing\, jumping around or hoisting glasses.” The foursome made up of Alexander Fedoryka (Vocals\, Fiddle\, Mandolin\, Harmonica)\, Danylo Fedoryka (Vocals\, Guitar\, Accordion)\, Ethan Dean (Vocals\, Upright and Electric Bass\, Percussion\, Guitar) and Johnny Rees (Vocals\, Drums\, Percussion) brings various influences together to create a conglomerate which is technically precise and steeped in various folk traditions: The classically trained Fedoryka brothers grew up on Ukrainian folk music and bluegrass\, while Ethan Dean was raised on the greats of 60’s & 70’s folk-rock. Lafayette LA raised Johnny Rees brings a Cajun backbeat to the Celtic-Americana fusion giving Scythian yet another dimension which keeps audiences entertained and moving. Scythian is coming off its most prolific year in 2020 with over 1\,000 hours of live streams during the Covid Lockdowns\, release of two new albums (Roots & Stones and Quaranstream: The Album) and four new music videos. You have to catch the live show to understand why The Cammel City Dispatch said of their Merlefest performance: “[Scythian gives] no quarter in their quest to entertain and bring a joy to their music that gives it an irony-free\, wide open feel of manic possibility. The playing is technically brilliant\, but it is the energy that carries the day.”

SUMMARY:American Patchwork Quartet
DESCRIPTION:American Patchwork Quartet (APQ)\, led by multi-GRAMMY® award-winning guitarist/vocalist Clay Ross\, binds timeless American folk songs with jazz sophistication\, country twang\, West African hypnotics\, and East Asian ornamentation. APQ’s sound is a masterful confluence of tradition and innovation\, transcending culture\, politics\, and ideology. Their debut was recently nominated for “Best Folk Album” at the 67th GRAMMY® Awards. \nA southern-born roots music aficionado\, Ross is also the founder of the world-renowned Gullah group Ranky Tanky. In APQ\, Ross intertwines with other Grammy-winning artists: Falguni Shah\, an eleventh-generation Hindustani classical vocalist\, Moto Fukushima\, an internationally acclaimed Issei jazz bassist\, and Rudy Royston\, a renowned jazz drummer whose fibers were honed by African American church traditions. \nAPQ resonates as a potent symbol of unity in diversity. It stands testament to the notion that\, from a collage of varied backgrounds\, a coherent and beautiful whole can be fashioned. Mirroring America’s cultural mosaic\, APQ stitches together a story that’s both intricate and resilient. The fabric of their music is genuine—it neither feigns tolerance nor presents an overly-embellished image of unity. \nInstead\, each carefully chosen piece dives deep into America’s patchwork soul and shares the joys\, sorrows\, and unwavering hope of a nation crafted by shared dreams and diverse histories. Far from being a haphazard collection of musical scraps\, APQ is a deliberately designed homage to America’s past and a showcase of its dynamic present. It beckons listeners to meditate upon our shared identity and relish in the musical threads that bind us. Just as an intricately designed quilt becomes a cherished family heirloom\, when the distinct patterns of APQ’s music align in perfect harmony\, the result is both a blanket of warmth and a timeless treasure.

SUMMARY:McGuffey Lane
DESCRIPTION:McGuffey Lane is a country rock band from central Ohio. In 1972 founding members Steve George Reis (bass/ vocals) and Terry Efaw (steel guitar/ gut string guitar/ electric guitar) were a duo called “Scotch and Soda”. When they added Bobby Gene McNelley (vocalist/ guitarist) they renamed themselves McGuffey Lane after the street of Steve’s Athens Ohio home. As their popularity grew they added Dick Smith (drums/ vocals) and Stephen “Tebes” Douglass (keyboards/ harmonica/ vocals). In 1977 McGuffey Lane started playing at Zachariah’s Red Eye Saloon and soon became the house band. At that point they added John Schwab (vocalist/ guitarist) who was opening for them as the sixth and final member of the original McGuffey Lane. \nMcGuffey Lane played at Zachariah’s through 1980. In August of 1980 they released their first self-titled album on Paradise Island Records selling 40\,000 in the first three months. The album reached #1 in Columbus during the fall of 1980 which gained the attention of Atlantic Records. Atlantic released the album nationally on its Atco Label with sales of 175\,000. During the early 1980’s McGuffey Lane was a national act touring with Charlie Daniels\, the Allman Brothers\, The Judds and Marshall Tucker Band. In 1981 they released their second album “Aqua Dreams” followed by their third album “Let the Hard Times Roll” released in 1982. In early 1984 Tebes Douglass was killed in an automobile accident returning home from a show in Dayton. They released their fourth and final album for Atlantic “Day by Day” and dedicated it to Tebes. After the release of “Day by Day”\, Bobby Gene McNelley left the band to pursue a solo song writing career. \nIn 1985 McGuffey Lane went back to their Ohio roots playing clubs\, concert halls\, fairs and festivals. In 1986 they released “A McGuffey Lane Christmas”\, a fundraiser for the Central Ohio Lung Association. In 1990 McGuffey Lane disbanded after a tour through the state and a last night at the Newport Music Hall. In 1993 they did a “one time show” at the Newport and in 1995 they released “Greatest Hits Live and More”. At that point McGuffey Lane regrouped featuring John Schwab\, Terry Efaw and Casey McGowan from the 1980’s line up. They were joined by veteran Columbus area musicians including Molly Pauken (mandolin\, acoustic guitar\, vocals). In 1998 they released “Call Me Lucky” . It was during 1998 that current McGuffey Lane members joined the band. Randy Huff (drums/ vocals) joined in the summer of 1998 and Kevin Reed (harmonica/ vocals) joined at the end of 1998. \nIn 2001 McGuffey Lane organized the First Annual Zachariah’s Red Eye Saloon Reunion featuring themselves and other acts that performed during the Zach’s days. In 2002 they released all acoustic CD “Wood” which included popular concerts songs from the late 1970’s but never previously released. In 2003 the Zachariah’s Red Eye Saloon Reunion moved to Promo West Pavilion and has been held there (now Kemba LIVE!) every year since. Finally in 2006 after years of fighting with Atlantic over the rights to their first four albums recorded in the mid 1980’s\, Rhino Records released them in 2 albums sets. The first self-titled album and “Aqua Dreams” in one set and “Let the Hard Times Roll” and “Day by Day” in the second set. \nIn 2010 McGuffey Lane released their 10th CD “10” on Lick Records which was co-founded by John Schwab. In 2011 “Bartender” from the “10” CD was released as a single. It reached #50 on the national country charts (Music Row Magazine). In June 2017 McGuffey Lane released their 11th and latest CD “Legend of the Red Eye” on Lick Records. In a review of “Legend of the Red Eye” Dave Culbertson writes: “If you like the “country” side of The Lane…you should love this one. It is an interesting mixture of originals and masterfully-done covers of some of the country and country-pop classics from a variety of artists…all well done…many times\, better than the originals.” In November 2017 “Cowboys Like What Cowgirls Do” by Steve George Reis from the new “Legend of the Red Eye” was #1 on the Alternative Country Music chart. The 2023 Zachariah’s Red Eye Reunion was held on Saturday January 21st at Kemba LIVE in downtown Columbus Ohio to another capacity crowd.  \nMcGuffey Lane’s history mirrors one of the songs from their 2002 “Wood” album. “I’ve been up and down and all around my head in the clouds and my feet on the ground. Don’t you worry baby don’t you worry about me. Cause I’ve survived everything that comes and goes. I still know which way that old north wind blows. After all these years I’m “Runnin’ Wild and Free”. McGuffey Lane is still going strong with the three original surviving members (Steve George Reis\, Terry Efaw and John Schwab) in the band. McGuffey Lane still performs about 20 concerts annually. The Journey Continues and “It’s A Good Day”. \nProjects Unlimited Gem Series Opener: THE NEW OLD-FASHIONED
