The Eichelberger Concert Series

Join us as we announce the 2023 Eichelberger Concert Season with…a concert! Preview all that Levitt Dayton has to offer and pick up your season calendar. If you’ve been to the Levitt before we encourage you to bring a friend who hasn’t to show them what all the fun is about! This event is free and open to the public, no ticket necessary.

In addition to the amazing music and season announcement, this will be the first opportunity for new Levitt Dayton members – annual fund donors who have donated over $100 – to pick up their new membership cards! These cards grant them access to exclusive member benefits and perks throughout the season. This is the first year that Levitt Dayton has instituted its new Membership program to give back to those who give so much to the mission of this organization. Learn more about membership below.

6 – 7 PM: enjoy DJ Danny D on the turn table, food trucks, and booths highlighting all that Levitt Dayton has to offer

7 – 8:30 PM: Dayton Salsa Project

Dayton Salsa Project:

From the vibrant, growing Hispanic population of Dayton, the interest of Daytonians in Latin-American culture, and a love of music that brings people together, the Dayton Salsa Project (DSP) was born. Founded in August 2018 by local musicians, half Dayton-born with the rest hailing from Puerto Rico, Colombia, and Peru.

The mission of the Dayton Salsa Project is to use music as the means to break barriers and promote inclusion by showcasing how musicians from diverse traditions and cultural backgrounds can get together in one accord. We aim to become ambassadors of Dayton’s diverse community, modeling the values of cultural diversity and inclusion, and sharing the rich history of Salsa at local, state, and national cultural events.

Many of us played in other bands that would perform in neighboring large cities like Columbus and Cincinnati only to meet people from Dayton who traveled in search of Salsa music and dancing. It only made sense to make Dayton our official band hometown where we can celebrate the diversity and musicality of Salsa by performing popular classics from the 1970’s and 80’s, the golden era.
